Attorney Rating Website

I found this interesting website http://www.avvo.com/. This site is under serious legal action because it attempts to create a 3rd party rating system for attorneys. Apparently there is a class-action law suite pending against the owners of the site. But the concept is interesting...

Avvo is a website that rates and profiles every lawyer, so you can choose the right lawyer. Avvo delivers the information and guidance you need to help you make this important decision, even if you’ve never worked with a lawyer before.

Does anyone else see this as interesting?

I think that this site is very helpful. I used this site to find a highly rated lawyer that helped me win my case. this website is used by those who have had those lawyers in the past of have done business with them. I used a site similar to this in College called ratemyprofessors.com where I could find the teachers that best suited me before taking them.

I used Avvo to rate my attorney - [EDITOR REMOVED] of Iowa so other people would be informed about what I felt was the low quality of his representation and service and not have to go through what I did with him. Hopefully this will prevent other people from unnecessary stress and wasting their time and money. I feel sites like Avvo are very valuable.

I appreciate the comment, Dan. I did, however, remove the specific attorney`s name you mentioned. As much as Avvo is an interesting concept, I`m not interested in doing what they do here. Thanks.
