Slasher - Software Release Makes Court Reporting Teachers` Lives Better!

We just released the beta version of Slasher 1.0 -- our new court reporting teacher tool. It`s a pretty basic tool that allows you to paste text into a box and then puts a slash every nth word. The slogan is, Spend More Time Dictating and Less Time Slashing! For those of you who don`t know why in the world such a tool would be useful... consider this. In court reporting school -- especially speed dictation -- teachers read to their students at prescribed speed levels. They use stop watches to guage how fast they are speaking. When they reach a slash in the text at a certain time position, they know whether they are reading too fast or too slow.

A tool such as Slasher 1.0 is helpful for teachers because they no longer have to manually count every nth word to place their marker -- in this case a slash (/). Teachers, simply paste your text into the box, select how many words as intervals, and presto chango -- you`ve been slashed.
