I've been hearing some talk about California cities issuing tax bills to court reporters and agencies for work performed within their city. Have you encountered this yet? Due to budget contstraints --presumably -- felt by cities and municipalities they have resorted to this sort of revenue strategy. I am mortified at this although it has yet to affect my business.
Can you imagine if every single city where you perform a deposition subsequently sends you a bill for their cut? I shudder to think...
