CNBC calls the shortage of court reporters a CRISIS

I just got back from the NCRA's Firm Owner's  conference in Palm Desert, CA.  I learned a whole lot while I was there and will be blogging about that in the next few days.  But I was astonished about this singular fact:

Court reporting is not only NOT a dying field but the demand for court reporters is expected to rise sharply within the next few years. 

And it's not just NCRA touting this fact.  Check out the video below that appeared on CNBC in late 2014.  Jane Wells reports that America is suffering from a serious shortage of court reporters.
