Court Reporting Services

These days a good court reporting agency should have the very best to offer when it comes to court reporting services. Along with reporting any legal proceeding, a court reporter also can swear in litigants of the case, take depositions or other legal proceedings, and can provide closed-captioning for television or during court proceedings to the hearing impaired or deaf members in the room.As an agency -- when choosing a reporter -- we make sure that they are licensed and have all of the acceptable educational credentials to perform the task accurately.   The California Court Reporters Board offers a helpful license verification feature on its website. Additionally, we ask to see references and any supplementary information before making the ultimate hiring decision.

As a court reporter and owner of a reporting firm for the past 43 years, I agree completely with the above article. I believe we also should offer full litigation support, such as high-speed scanning, videoconferencing, et cetera.
