Join Toastmasters, Why Dontcha?
Did I mention that I joined Toastmasters?
Well, I joined Toastmasters.I attend two group meetings per week. It's an awesome organization that helps to build communication skills. I've been able to practice and rehearse (in front of a friendly audience) various portions of my larger speech. One thing that I'm consistently trying to work on is pacing. The skill of not rushing through it. I'm trying to actually sit back and enjoy my time on stage and let the words sink in before moving them along out of nervousness or whatever. It's something that I think will help my communication skills in general.
I'll keep you posted. (Did I just rush through that paragraph?)
